Privacy Policy

PRIVACY POLICY

We, CTW Data Solutions GmbH, hereinafter referred to as Quick-ID or provider, take the protection of personal data very seriously. In the following, we will explain how we protect your data and what it means for you when you use our services. As a matter of principle, Quick-ID considers the protection of your privacy to be of the utmost importance. It goes without saying that we comply with the statutory provisions on data protection. In addition, it is important to us that you know at all times when we store which data and how we use it.

I. Camera call

When calling up the camera via the website provided by Quick-ID, information is automatically sent by the browser (i.e. the respective Internet access program) used on your end device (e.g. computer, tablet, smartphone, etc.) to the server on which our website is stored. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file.

This is the following information that is transmitted:

  • IP address of the requesting computer (pseudonymized)

  • Date and time of access

  • Name and URL of the retrieved file

  • Website from which the access is made (referrer URL)

  • Browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your computer

This information is technically collected without your intervention and stored until automated deletion. The aforementioned data is processed by us to ensure a smooth connection setup and a comfortable use of our website, to evaluate system security and stability, and for administrative purposes. The data processing is thus based on a legitimate interest on our part (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 letter f DSGVO), which follows from the previously named purposes of data collection. We do not use the collected data to draw conclusions about your person. Further information on the use of the photo function, the data transfer and the error message when visiting and for the operation of our online presence can be found below under points II and III.

II. photo capture and data transfer

1. description and scope of data processing

Each time our software is used, i.e. by triggering the camera function, our system captures a recording, which is forwarded to the server from the hosting service provider (see Appendix 1) via secure channels (HTTPS). The transfer is secured by an authentication token.

2. legal basis for data processing

The legal basis for the forwarding and processing of the users' personal data is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DSGVO.

3. purpose of data processing

The transfer of the photo to the hosting service provider is necessary to enable the conversion of various documents, such as scanned paper documents, PDF files or digital images into editable files.

4. duration of storage

The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. In the case of the collection of data for provision to the hosting company, this is the case when the respective request has ended. CTW Data Solutions GmbH does not store any data itself.

III. data security

For our website, we use the widespread SSL (Secure Socket Layer) procedure in conjunction with the highest encryption level supported by your browser (Internet access program). As a rule, this is 256-bit encryption (if your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, 128-bit v3 technology is used). You can recognize that a visit or page view is encrypted by the key or lock symbol in the status bar of your browser (you can also regularly find more information about this in the documentation of the Internet access software you use). We use reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or against unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved according to the technological development as far as possible and reasonable. We have an order processing agreement with our web hosting service provider (Art. 28 DSGVO).

IV. Right of withdrawal

If you have given your consent for data processing, you may revoke this at any time in accordance with Art. 7(3) DSGVO. We may then no longer continue the data processing based on this consent in the future.

V. Right of objection

If your personal data is processed on the basis of legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1) sentence 1 letter f DSGVO, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data pursuant to Art. 21 DSGVO, provided that there are grounds for doing so that arise from your particular situation or the objection is directed against direct advertising. In the case of direct marketing, you have a general right to object, which will be implemented by us without specifying a particular situation on your part. If you would like to make use of your data subject rights (Art. 17 ff DSGVO) and/or your right of revocation and/or objection, an e-mail to support@quick-id.com is sufficient. Further contact options can be found under this statement.
